how many is the maximum number of films you can put in a dvd without much quality-degradation .....
considering (a film is 700 mb)

because i tried with nero.....
it gives me around 3 films with lowest quality such as 1/4 d1 and 1671bits/sec and PAL configuration
please help me

For a good quality encoding I was able to load about 1.3 GB avi files to fill a dvd5 after convertion. If you have more than 1.3 GB in avi use a dvd 9 and 8.2 GB is big enough.

hey everybody.

I was wondering if someone could help me. I use winavi to convert my avi files to dvd. I then try to burn them to a dvd with nero 6 but it doesn’t work it says that the vso file is larger than 2Gb and therefore can burn.

Does anyone have a solution without messing with the quality of the file????

Mermaid. Thanks so much for your advice. WinAVI is just great. I do hope all the geeks that have posted here read your entry. Why do geeks believe that the only way to solve a problem is to write a book about it.

Thanks

Cooky if you unrar cd1 and cd2 you’re going to have two avi files in Xvid format. Follow schmaulie’s guide add files and so on. Simple like that and at the end you’re going to have a dvd good for your stand alone player.
