mankoun Guest | I downloaded a divx movie with ogg vorbis 3 plus audio (tag:6771). I have installed the correct codec but the sound i get is distorted. Something like E.T. Any ideas?

hc Guest | same problem.
am not using nforce. can’t be vga problem.
have tried isolating the audio stream (ogg vorbis 3+) and converting it to wav with hopes that it could be strictly an ogg-related fault.
but it’s still the same distortion.
using VLC media player, there’s no audio, as if muted.

spectral Guest | I’ve found the solution.
Install the DivX Total Pack (http://www.free-codecs.com/DivX_Total_Pack_download.htm).
No more distorted sound... at least, it worked for me.
Hope it will help someone out there.
