how do i convert video ts file to avi or mpeg.i am trying to get still photos off it
ConvertXtoDVD works for me.
You can play your avi files on the computer and go into the settings of your chosen media player and 'capture' photographic stills of the video which is playing.
I have Nero 7 and have to press 'c' to capture a still, and I set the default as 'My Pictures', within 'My Documents', then it is not too confusing.
Hope this helps.

kulki Guest | 1.Write a multithreaded application which loads the mpeg streams into buffers and extracts the following information from the streams. The application should dump the table information of all the streams into a single file but information from each stream should not be mixed up.
Program Association table (PAT)
Program Map Table (PMT)
Network Information Table (NIT)
Service Description Table (SDT)
Event Information Table (EIT)
Conditional Access Table (CAT)
Bouquet Association Table (BAT)
Time and Date Table (TDT)
Time Offset Table (TOT)
can anybody help

yowzer Guest | If any are interested Media player classic can also play .ts file types.
The file type is used for DVB, streaming video in Mpeg-2 through a network or satellite.

Canuck2 Guest | dragn, you are correct about needing to convert the file rather just renaming it, however was it really necessary to call Noland3 a retard? You’re a really tough guy hiding behind the anonymity of your computer. These forumns are for grown ups....please go to Disneyland.com where you can play with other children.

LA Guest | I have downloaded some video taken with my digital camera to my computer. They are mpeg files. I would like to now burn/copy those same files to a viewable cd/dvd. How do I do that? I tried it, but nothing plays when I load it in the DVD player. It just shows that the clips are there. It’s on a CD-R right now, but I do have DVD-R CDs as well.

All,
Trying to put this tip out there for folks looking to deal with their .TS files from cable boxes. You can do everything you need in NeroVision Express 3. ....
CPngN
I have tried using Nero Vision Express 3. Show 'all file types' does reveal the .ts files (as with any Windows application) but when I select the .ts file, Nero Vision comes back with the error 'Failed to Insert File ......'
Are there any additional codecs neeeded?

mee Guest | What is the difference between TS and RM file?
Can I copy only one of the files inside the TS file to DVD and still be able to watch the full video?
What is the RM file for?
What do I have to do to copy a DVD and be able to watch it on any DVD player? Do I really have to convert it to MPEG2 or just remove some security protection?
