Problems Playing Divx files on CDR

I was using Roxio CD easy CD creator to burn Divx files to CDR’s.

In Past it was working fine and I was able to burn divx files to CDR as a “data cd”.

Yet recently whenever I try to burn divx files using this method it completes the recording process as before. But now when I try to play these files directly from cd it is no longer able to play them. Windows Media player just stalls???

Is the problem do with the software or the hardware?
