irishman91 Guest | im so glad to know we got a bunch of retards here. renaming the extention DOES NOT work for tao files. It only becomes and ISO file, and yes you can burn it to a DVD-RW,but there will be nothing inside the file, even if it says there is a size.

Okay, so, I want to get this computer game, Rise of Nations, so I downloaded a huge .exe file that have on my computer. To try to work with it, I extracted it with ISOBuster, which gave me one huge .TAO file, which I am keeping in a new folder I made in program files. I want to burn this to a CD to make the game, but I don’t know what to do from here. Any help anyone? **(I have never don this before, so plz explain it step by step)

Nightrazr Guest | I have finished downloading a game for my ps2, and it consists of one .MDS and one .MDF file, i used ISObuster to make a .TAO file of the .MDF file, i made an iso of the .TAO file by renaming it with .ISO.
I burned the ISO on a DVD+RW, i used my swapmagic, swapped to the disc and it didn’t work.
What am i doing wrong? T_T

ad Guest | How do I burn a .tao image from isobuster to a another dvd disk so it plays on my pc properly and in my dvd player. Currently only isobuster can spit out the information on the disk to the .tao format as it is the limited version of isobuster. None of the other software above helps. Please help me.

Entree Rep: 0 Joined: 21 Sep 2006 Posts: 4 OFFLINE | it seems obvious, but just renaming the file in windows from .tao to .iso does not work. you will get a *.iso.tao . it has been mentioned before, just download an extension changer. this absolutely works. someone had trouble with the ext. changer, saying the area to open files is grayed out so it doesnt work. yes and no. you cant open a file directly out of the ext. changer. you have to open the ext. changer, then click and drag the into the gray box. once there just type ISO in the box below and click change. you now have an ISO you can google an ext. changer, or here’s a link http://www.topshareware.com/Extension-Changer-download-17380.htm

Entree Rep: 0 Joined: 21 Sep 2006 Posts: 4 OFFLINE | correction to above: “then just click and drag the file into the gray box." and iso commander is crap unless you buy it or find a crack, demo version only allows 300 mb trial limitations. no need to make this too hard.

Entree Rep: 0 Joined: 21 Sep 2006 Posts: 4 OFFLINE | correction: you will need the window containing the .TAO file open next to or behind the ext. changer so you will have have somewhere to click and drag from, (incase you havent figured that out yet, sorry being thorough) and DO NOT put the dot in front of ISO in the text box, this makes your .TAO file magically dissapear for some reason, not sure why.

joebo Guest | Hi, i’m having roughly the same problem as everyone else.
i d/led a program and in it it had:
CD1 folder
CD2 folder
.nfo
in the CD1 folder there was:
.bin
.cue
from the directions here i extracted the .bin file with isobuster. from that came the .tao file.
i renamed the .tao to .iso and i burned it to a cd as image file to a cd.
now that cd i burned says it has no information.
then i tried the other method. which was to load up the .cue file in NERO to burn it. and it said it would go to like 89327494mbs. thats impossible since the file is just 400-500mb.
could i try anything else?
