Trujiman Guest | I had same problem. Neither Windows mediaplayer nor Realplaer would play back video. Downloading and installing the xvid codec sorted out the problem.

Cariad Guest | I also had this problem when I tried to open my AVI files in Windows Media Player. I downloaded Video Inspector, browsed to the file that I was trying to open and it told me that I need Xvid Codec. It gave me a link to the download that I needed and I am able to play all of my video’s in Window’s Media Player with sound and picture! Give it go, it takes less than 2 minutes.
