Try downloading the K-lite codec pack. I have no problems watching movies with subtitles. The problem i’m having is that when I burn my movies, I cant get the subtitles on my dvd. I have nero express, any suggestions?
use vso convertxtodvd www.vso-software.fr/products/convert_x_to_dvd/ or google it nero dont support subs

I found this site, and your info, by using google. I followed your instructions and am getting ready to watch Stalingad WITH Subs. Thanks a lot sir.

you can follow this.. http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/search2/sublanguageid-eng/moviename-city%20of%20god
It is for city of god. If this does not work, then just google English Subtitles”.
Hope it works.

chisophugis Guest | Use GOM Player:
http://www.gomlab.com/eng/GMP_download.html
It plays everything right out of the box and has an extremely user friendly interface, while having the most features of any media player I have yet to see.
I have yet to see someone disappointed in it!

egeltje4 Guest | if you select both the avi and the srt and right clic and play it plays subs too. but its probably easier to download and install bsplayer it opens automaticly the srt file if it has the same name. and he’s right by first watching the avi with subs cause its the wrong sub you throw away the dvd.

foundSubtitlesNow Guest | This thread is from 2005 and it solved my issue in 2008. That DirectVob thing is still around. I just downloaded and installed it, then loaded a Japanese video with Japanese chicks in action in realplayer and voila .... subtitles were right there. Thank you all!!
