RedRat Guest | THE CORE MEDIA PLAYER stinks IMO.
vlc player works great .. the only thing that is buggy is when you have 2 cd and 2 different subtitles u cant load them ind separately..-or if you have 1 movie with subtitles u load and another movie after in play-list it will still load the sub from the fist movie.. I hope they will fix that in the next version.
vlc rules

clang Guest | good day...
i just downloaded bsplayer and it seems to work great with my BIVX file... my bivx, however, did not contain subtitles so i downloaded it separately...
as you guys said, i changed the srt’s file name to match that of the avi’s filename... placed 'em in the same folder together... made sure that the show subtitles option was checked... but i still can’t get my subtitles...
any suggestions??? i’ve been at this for 30 minutes already!!!

Citizen Dildo Guest | "rubytu
On a mac using VLC go to preferences and deselect 'automatically detect subtitle files' and then choose the subtitle file to be played with the movie using the 'browse' button. It’s not automatic but it works!"
THANKYOU!
worked great

slowdive Guest | Hi Mac friends.
Is there any (relatively simple) way to create an .avi file with hard subtitles from an .avi file and .srt file?
I hope there’s a way of doing it that does not involve ffmegx. I’ve had nothing but problems with that software.

dm12345 Guest | Easy way to play avi with srt
Just rename the srt filename to same as avi filename leaving the extension same. Work with any player as long as you have DirectVobSub installed

TRARP Guest | If your using Vista, registering the dll cant be done without adminstrative powers. I could only register the dll using a program called Regshell and “Run this program as Administrator”.
