playback error please help

i have posted this problem before, but i think i posted it in the wrong place sorry, and i have looked to see if it has already been posted but couldn’t find it

i have been having this problem for a while now, i download some movies that everytime i try to burn with nero 6.6.0.5, finishes succesfully, but when i try to play it on my stand alone dvd player, its says cannot play, playback error. I don’t know what this means and if i burned it wrong, or what it happenes to different moves, and different file types ex: some times if the movie i downloaded is a .img file it would work and sometimes no, if the file is .vob and .bup, sometimes yes and some no,

if anyone can help it would be greatly appriciated thank you

Yes, I also need help with this! I have had this problem with 3 different writers and 3 different progammes, although currently using nero 6.
Usually they play, but about an hour or so into the film it starts to jump and skip really bad. I’m using DVD+R discs, can anyone offer advice? Should I try a different write speed?

try burning at a slower speed....buy more expencive better discs.....I’ve had this problem because the discs in a dvd player spin all the time its playing they get hot and warp or expand....if you let then cool down you can carry on playing from where you left off with no problems...cheap discs burnt quickly = crap which is one problem why pirated DVD films are generaly cack.....

4 a start buy a better writer pioneer plextor or sony then buy a reasonbly good dvd disc and try again
unnamed writers r pants and dont reconise most disc
