jeanhomme Guest | I download files that are long, 80 meg or so and they only read as 30 seconds on what ever player I use. The file plays after the time is up for a bit and then hangs. The rest of the file is there since I can click on random places on the moving play bar and get differnet screens. Media Player is up to date and happens on Divx and Real Player as well.
What’s going on and how can I get the rest of the video.

The Main Man Guest | I have the same problem. I have MPEG videos that are longer than 200Mb and any player I use will only play about 1 min. If I scroll forward it will jump to other parts in the movie, but will still only play about 1 min. When the video finishes, sound keeps playing.
I saw a topic in this same page where some other people had the same problem, they downloaded the Elecard MPEG-2 Player and it fixed their problem. I dlded the Elecard mpeg2 player v2.3.2 but it didn’t fix the problem.
Can anyone help me please?...
Thanks

bladezhelper Guest | I had the same problem and was really frustrated. However, I solved the problem on 2 of my videos. In the first video, I solved the problem by converting the video using AVS Video Converter. In the second video, AVS Video Converter didn’t work, so I solved the problem by using Windows Media Encoder. In Windows Media Encoder, I chose “covert a file." Windows Media Encoder converts your broken video into a new video that works. Windows Media Encoder also has these settings for audio and video quality. I lowered the audio and video quality or else Windows Media Encoder will take a long time and will make your new video too big. (I also used Hero Video Converter. Hero Video Converter worked on my second video, but you have to move the sliding bar at the bottom of Windows Media Player for your new video to work.) I went to www.download.com to download the above softwares. Good luck.
