Man Doses Guest | Hey folks,
I need help. I have been making great, in my humble opinion, films of my buds skiing but by the time they get onto the TV via DVD they looks 'headachy'. the backgrounds flicker a bunch, espcially when there is camera movement. When I view them on the web or in my editor they look solid but not on DVD. Bummer. here is what i am doing so maybe you can help.
Sony DHC-40 MiniDV -> Avid Express -> QT 720x480 mpeg4 -> Sonic MyDVD -> DVD
I have played with a few other codecs too but I was suggested mpeg4 by a friend. I have also been doing lower or even fields first.
when I put them on the web as QT using sorensen 3 they look great and in Avid they look great but I think I am messing up towards the DVD end of the process.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.
