Which codec is needed to play the following video-file. It is made by Windods mediacenter

You don’t need a CODEC if you have the latest Windows Media Player — BUT you do need a software/hardware DVD player installed. Cyberlink’s works fine. Once I installed a copy of that, we could watch recorded TV. Search for dvr-ms on Google and the MVP page that comes up will explain it in detail.
