"OutDir Can Not Include _"

The dir path can not include a "_"

for exampel
“C:\convert\my_film” is wrong
“C:\convert\myfilm” works

Sorry, that doesn’t work. My files and filepaths don’t contain "_" (or any other symbols) and I’m having the problem with every one of them.

Dont change the filename of the AVI file, but change the directory output that Winavi tries to put it into once coverted. It cannot contain the _ so just delete that part of the directory and it will convert for you.

I had the same problem. No file would work or be converted into any format. I had an _ as part on a directory name. Once that was removed the files converted with no problem.

Just set the output to something like C:/

that is the easiest way to get the conversion to work properly.
