CPU usage100% using VSO burner , why?

When I burn a disc with my VSO converter the CPU is running at 100%, is this usual? My computer get real slow

Make sure your PC meets the minimum hardware requirements for your cd/dvd-burner (it’s usually on the box somewhere, especially check memory and processor speed). Second make sure you have DMA mode enabled for all your IDE channels. To enable DMA go to your device manager, look at IDE/ATAPI controllers, then for each IDE channel (primary and secondary), double click it and look at the advanced settings tab. If any of them says PIO mode, change it to DMA if available. Do it for all 4 (max) devices on your IDE channels.
