for all XP users

1)download file from http://download.divxmovies.com/mp3codec.zip
2) extract files & run setup program 'setupl3c.exe'
3) goto run & type in 'c:\WINDOWS\system32\regsvr32.exe l3codecp.acm'
4) goto run & type in 'c:\WINDOWS\system32\regsvr32.exe l3codecx.ax'

on the 2nd step, it is telling me there is no DllRegisterServer and also its telling me l3codecp.acm does not appear to be a .DLL or .OCX file

can anyone help me with this?

what you guys said didnt EXACTLY work for me...

the codec zahzzz mentioned + hicky’s commands worked..

1. “http://download.divxmovies.com/mp3codec.zip”

2. start>run>type"regsvr32.exe l3codeca.acm”

3. start>run>type"regsvr32.exe l3codecx.ax”

the difference being that zahzzz is saying l3codecx instead of l3codeca

between you, you got my sound working again so... <3

try hicky’s solution above. works for divx no audio and wmplayer no audio.

start>run>type"regsvr32.exe l3codeca.acm” then hit enter. this should give you a success message click ok. next go start>run>type"regsvr32.exe l3codecx.ax” and hit enter.
