DSouza Guest | I installed Tag 85.
i even activated them by running
regsvr32.exe l3codeca.acm
regsvr32.exe l3codecx.ax
It succeeded
But I still get an error message to download Tag 85 in DIVX.
Please Help

1. download, extract and install the following http://download.divxmovies.com/mp3codec.zip
2a. then go to start, run and paste the following regsvr32.exe l3codecx.acm
2b. then go to start, run and past the following
regsvr32.exe l3codecx.ax
3.press enter, now try playing the file.
after step 3 i got an error message that things didn’t work. so, i re-downloaded the l3codecx.ax file from:
http://pwp.netcabo.pt/0254531101/l3codecx.ax
Paste in c:\WINDOWS\system32
and
go to start, run and past the following
regsvr32.exe l3codecx.ax
eNJOY! THAT ROX!

mariepan Guest | I did EVERYTHING suggested on this page, but I still got the error message whe go to start > run > regsvr32.exe l3codecx.acm :
l3codecx.acm was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer was not found.
l3codecx.acm does not appear to be a .DLL or .OCX file.
what am I to do????

I have tried everything, Ive even updated my divx player to 6.2. Ive converted my shows (invaderzim) to div x. ive done that start>run thing. Ive even checked my audio codecs to see if they were on that list thing. and it still doesnt work. grrr. I even have two of the audio encoder things on there. 2!!!!!! Im going insane.

Im trying to get it on my creative music player, the Vision M one, it says it plays movies from DivX, but still a message pops up saying “video format is not supported” at one stage i could here sound and see images, but it just switched off. what should I do???

chresto Guest | Thought I’d say Thanks to Hicky - I know you posted to help someone nearly two years ago, but it’s sorted out my problem. I seriously owe you.
Of course, it’s taken me about a week to
- learn about codecs,
- download GSpot, VirtualDubMod, media player 11, MP classic, a couple dozen codec packs,
- Finally discover which codec was “missing”
- try to find a genuine version of said codec and not a hacked pro encoder,
- run installers about a thousand times for the right codec but to no avail,
- finally changing my google search to hit all the right keywords at once to find your answer.
And now, I’m back where I was last week, with all my video clips working and sound. Real, beautiful, sound. in synch.
May karma reward you with teh cool stuff.
