harvey Guest | i recently downloaded a large movie file in avi format with xvid codec. when i tried to play the movie in any media player such as wmp, real one, powerdvd, it came up with fuzzy lines all over the screen but the audio worked. when i tried using divx, the movie worked but the video was slower than the audio so as the movie went on, the video and audio became more and more out of sync, anyone else had this problem, or know of a solution?

Install 3ivX (http://www.3ivx.com/download/index.html) and make sure it’s associated with DivX and XviD encoded files.
How does the picture look?
Also you may want to try VideoLAN (www.videolan.org), but try 3ivX first.
