Wrong time displayed in video

Media player displays the correct time (wow) but every other program I use shows the wrong time for a mpg file. AVICodec even shows the wrong time.

The problem is that the file is 90+mb and is 19min long. uLead Video Editor 7, AVICodec, Intervideo WinDVD, uLead DVD Workshop, and ulead DVD Movie Factory all show the file to be only 1min 33secs! Therefore, they only will encode the first 1:33 of the file if I try to convert etc.

The file is encoded as Mpeg1. I have other files that have a similar problem as well, all downloaded from the internet. Anyone know what is going on and how I can fix the files?

I’ve got a similar problem; in some cases I have wrong time displayed - luckily media player plays the whole movie, but some players don’t (namely ALLPlayer). The files themselves are OK, as I checked them on the other computer and everything was fine.
