cant play unfinished downloads

i use real player and i cant play unfinished videos with it. i had real player before my windows was reinstalled and it worked then. do i need codec to play these UF videos?

ok turns out i can play unfinished videos but i can play them WHILE there downloading. what codec can i get for this?

dont use real one player unless its only in real one format, if its divx use divx player, WMP plays well too but just use them to test them as in for quality and realness then leave till finished.

I use real player too and have found it OK (it even told me I needed to download TAG85, does it always do this)as a beginner I am downloading to much media though. I can now play through Real, etomi,Power dvd, Windows mediaplayer, nero and divx player. I also have video inspector. Win avi converter, nvida and winmix now down loaded. My computer is much slower now but I don’t know what to keep and what not to. I even have Java downloaded to run etomi Hellllp

LOL well you dont need all them, if real player asks for tag 85 codec look of websites for that codec and download it, the 2 i mentioned are the only ones you need for playing dvd-rips. They are all i use and i have had no problems ever.

While the file is downloading, it’s locked so that no other application can write to it (this prevents corruption). What you do though is copy it to a different location. The copy will be playable.
