Spleendor Guest | OK I’ve been through just about everything and I still can’t get this to work. I have an avi file whose audio is way ahead of the video. It seems to be off from the get-go i.e. it doesn’t get progressively worse. Now I have tried Nimo’s codec pack, which had bad codecs in it. I ran G-Spot to figure out what was needed so I now have 2 compatible video codecs (Xvid) and 2 compatible audio (MPEG layer-3). Even DirectShow can render the file, so I can’t see what else I need to do to get the audio and video more in sync.
I have a pitifully slow machine with only 128mb RAM so maybe that’s part of my problem. The weird thing is, even with all the “correct” codecs, Windows Media still gives me the “parameter is incorrect” error, or for the FFDShow pack or Nic’s build of Xvid, I get page fault errors mentioning ffdshow.ax or xvid.ax. Yet using RealPlayer I can at least get the video to play but again the sound is way off. This is all on Win98 OS.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks. |
