Try feeding the file into other diagnostic tools like avicodec or videoinspector to see if they give anything useful.

Is the file type mpg as above? If not what is it, and can you feed it into one of the above-mentioned diagnostic tools? If it is mpg (and assuming the file extension is correct), chances are it’s mpeg-2. You could use videolan or media player classic to play the file. |
