Hi!!

I have Windows XP home edition and when I play some 1hour+ MPEG movies in any player, they will only recognize it as a 10/20 minutes movie!!! And when I click on the seek bar it will jump to further sections of the movies (not the initial 10/20 minutes). It doesn’t matter which player I try to play the movies, wheter it’s WMP, Quicktime or DivXPlayer it’s all the same. It looks as if the movie was cut in overlapped sections or something, the strange thing is that if I play these movies on a windows 98 computer there won’t be any problem. What could this possibly be? What program do I need in order to fix this? A special codec maybe??

Dunno. If it you need a codec, use Divx. It works really well without problems. I’ve talked to many others about the same problem. They found different ways of finding the solution. One solution i remember was a codec.
