carrot Guest | Are you using two DVD drives? I wouldn’t know what would cause one not to be seen (be sure you can WRITE with whichever one you choose as the target - one time we had a guy wonder why he couldn’t burn CD’s, we told him to check the specs of his drive using Nero Info Tool, and turns out it was a CD-ROM drive (no writing capabilities!))
Also it could be the program are picking the lowest common denominator (usually when replicating CD/DVD’s it’s best to put the source in the faster drive (read) and the destination in the slower drive - if they have diff speeds that is). You could always swap if you’re using two drives.
If you have only one drive you’ll obviously have to have a the data copied on your HD before it can be burned to a blank DVD. Normally most programs will use their own temp file without prompting you - but they’ll let you select the same drive for copying and burning.
Finally if none of this works, just pick ISO, then when you’re done creating the ISO, just double click it, or open it with Nero - it’ll burn just fine (just be sure to open the image and burn it as an image - not as a data DVD with the image on it!) |
