Gmini 400 video playing issue

Hi everybody,

When I play a video on my Archos Gmini400, the bottom left button always shows “slow/2” by default while the upper left corner of the screen shows nothing. Sound is on and plays correctly, however the video plays slow for a few seconds, then plays normally for the rest of the video.

This results in every movie playing with a lag of a few seconds between audio and video. This makes video playing unusable.

Cycling through the play speed by pressing the left bottom button gives the following results:

clearly there is a problem with the slow speed
control.
Anyone noticed this ?

Anyone aware of a fix ? This happens with the stock 1.3.0 and update 1.3.04 firmware.

Try to reincode the video with the Archos Divx encoder (downloadable on their main site).
I had the same problem with videos that were not encoded especially for the device.
