Frogstar Guest | I want to burn a AVI file to VCD or DVD. At first I could not open the file and Nero (trial version)said this : “Missing features: M-PEG 4 video decoding”. I used GSpot and I figured out that the codec for video was missing.(DivX4) I installed the DivX412Codec. The video play fine in Media Player Classic but when I try with Nero or CDBurnerXp the video look like garbage. It’s like a bunch of flicking small squares of different colors. I still get the same message from Nero.Thank you.

carrot Guest | You probably shouldn’t be installing the DivX 4.12 codec. It’s kind of outdated now and might be incompatible with newer systems. I’d recommend using DivX 6 since it’s backwards-compatible with DivX 4 (or DivX 5 if you have Windows Me or earlier).
Get DivX 6 at http://www.divx.com
