Dan2334235 Guest | I ripped a dvd (that I own) using dvd decrypter. I selected the main movie file and ifo’s and hit decrypt. I set up the Windows media center to have a dvd library and made sure the correct files were watched. It worked and I can play the movie.
Now I did the exact same thing with another dvd and windows media library can’t find it. I really cant figure it out the folder that doesn’t work has 1 ifo file and 5 Vob files. The working folder has 2 ifo files and 4 VOB files. This is the only difference I can see between the two folders. Why cant I get the second movie to work?
I’m really lost so any help is appreciated. And sorry if this is the wrong forum, I guess its DVD ripping not DVD writing.

Dan2334235 Guest | Ok. Now the folder shows up in the dvd library. I can play the VOB files directly from the folder, but when I try to play the movie from the dvd library it displays a black screen. Any help?
Thanks again | |

thebeetleuk Guest | Hi,
I have this same problem. Videos play correctly in media player but just get a black screen in Media Centre. I have also tried via the 360 media centre extender and I get an error stating “Cannot Play Video. the file is not recognised and cannot be played...."
Could it be a codec problem in Media centre? | |
