madchen Guest | codec 2000 is just a codec required to play certain movies.
You can get is from http://homepage.ntlworld.com/ohdoom/Files/tag2000audio.exe
just download the file and install it, your windows media player should now be able to play the movies with codec 2000.
good luck

Popcorn Guest | I downloaded a movie file that had no sound and required the 2000 codec. Then I found this forum which led me to download the tag2000audio codec. This helped the problem and now my movie has sound when played on the PC, but when I burn the movie to CD-R using Roxio Easy CD/DVD Creator 6.0 and play it on a DVD player, the sound is distorted. The audio has an “underwater” distortion to it. You can make out what is being said in the movie, but it definitely is frustrating to listen to and gives you a headache. Anyone know of a fix for THIS problem?
