VirtualDub-MP3 (http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downloads/virtualdub.html) and TMPGEnc (http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downloads/tmpgenc.html)
Nero’s ok for burning the files.
You can find complete AVIs (encoded with DivX and XviD) on all P2P networks.
Try a search on www.google.com for fasttrackcentral and go to the first site that shows up. The site has verified files and such.
