Nosrep Guest | I have recently downloaded a video which i extracted using win rar. it gave me xvid.001 files going all the way to xvid.049. each has about 15 MB. I can play the first xvid.001 file, but its only about 1 min long. how do i play the other files? i have VCL player but it cant play the files.

daniel maldonado Guest | i downloaded a software program that all the files are .001 all the way to .001 33 and the last one shows the letteres sfv, i havent been able to open it, please if someone knows give me a hand, thank you, i need to know wath program to dawnload in order to open it.

MoRt Guest | Open the first file eg. “test.xvid.001” in WinRAR all the files will join together if they are healthy
and you will be able to extract them! :P
(also if you dont have the xvid bit is the codec used for divX or what ever your useing you can find the codecs through google etc.)

Miki Guest | If it helps, here is what I did.
My situation is exactly the same as Nosreq: .xvid.001 through .xvid.049, only the first one plays, the others doesn’t play at all. What I did was open the first file (.xvid.001) with WinRar (Right click, open with...), and all the files are joined together and appears in WinRar as one big file (around 700M . I extracted the file and plays.

labish Guest | Do not extract rar files one by one.Open the folder with WinRar go to menu and select all and extract to whatever directory.If you get a second set of file 01 to 0X select all again and extract one more time.Look at the title of your download and try to understand the typing.Xvid means after unrar you get an avi file Xvid format if is a VCD/SVCD after unrar you may have a pair of cue/bin image files ready for burning if is a DVD you may get a video ts or vob and so on.Sometime to avoid the second decompressing the releaser compress file like a closed circle and after the first unrar the software is going to ask about an existing file.Select yes to all and wait until is done.

Ilie Ilie Guest | I need some help on the following issue: I have downloaded a splitted .avi file (.001 etc.) and, after joining them (with hj) it still doesn’t play beyond a certain point (which, I suppose would be somewhere in the sixth archive).
Likewise, I should say that I have not - yet - downloaded all the .00x files. (P.S. AVIMEDIC says the file is all right.)
I would very much appreciate any suggestion. Thanks!
