The way i get around that problem is to decode the audio using a program called avi-vcd(available on Kazaa) .......then Tmpgenc will recognise it.

Uninstall all codec packs, especially Nimo and install the codecs that are needed.

Install:
- 3ivX (http://www.3ivx.com/download/index.html) - decodes both DivX and XviD.
- Moonlight Odio Dekoda 1.23 (http://www.movieking.co.uk/files/index.php?action=file&id=5) - decodes both AC3 and MP3 audio.

All remnants/left-overs of old codec packs must be uninstalled before installing 3ivX and the Moonlight Oido Dekoda 1.23.

Once everything’s done open TMPGEnc Plus and go to: Option>Environmental setting>VFAPI plug-in tab>right-click 'DirectShow Multimedia File Reader' and raise (click Higher priority) it until it’s a 2 or 4. Click OK.

Now try re-encoding the DivX (AVI) files to MPEG1.

TMPGEnc Plus is a program primarily for encoding to MPEG1/2 etc. It does high quality conversions, much higher quality than Nero can do. Also there are problems with Nero that may be encountered in the future (i.e. - upside-down picture after re-encoding from an XviD-AVI source etc). Please be aware that these problems can occur and can be attributed to Nero. If any problems happen, TMPGEnc can be used to re-encode the AVI to MPEG1/2, then burn as normal with Nero.
