stimps Guest | windows have ignored something in windows movie maker in one of there operating system upgrades/patches it seems. Look to microsoft to fix it or just forget it.

It installs a folder in your Programs, but you don’t need to run it before using Movie Maker.

PETER im in great need Guest | Hey I downloaded all the codecs for a movie clip i want to use in WMM. I can view the clip with Windows Media player now but I still cant see the video part in WMM (audio works) ANY HELP. Please Im desperate people!!!! I have to finish an assignment!

Shaman Guest | (BOB2) ive already tried the “System Restore” it killed everything that i had including the show that i was trying to downsize to get on a site. it brought the computer all the way back to the point of having nothing on it except what was there when i bought it. so for some people who have never created a restore point this is going to be a big problem. so i think that i am going to continue looking for the codec.

Shaman Guest | heres a new one. ok got everything working as stated in the last post. but now i have a new problem when i try to get all the clips i want into the movie WMM exits itself on me. any ideas on how to prevent this from happening.

Hitsugaya6031 Guest | guys I kno how to fix this problem. ok first step go to www.wmplugins.com and scroll down to wher it says most popular plug-ins in blue link. Yes it is the first one XVid Codec, click on it. Finish the download thingy and just leave it alone. Now try to import video file. If it still doesn’t work on movie maker go to tools/options and check the box to where it says download codecs automaticly.
If that doesn’t work I do not kno what will, cause it works for me T.T

BloodBird Guest | The system restore solution won’t work for me, I need the movie maker to use on my cs demo’s if I restore i will lose my demo’s the whole reason I need movie maker to work, is there any other way to fix this, ughhh....
