Audio not working for mp3/videos

Whenever I play a video on my computer, or audio, it just plays the video or doesn’t play the song. It jsut randomly started happening! I still have audio on my computer though, I can hear the stuff from AIM, and from games and stuff... Can somebody please help me out!?
