Dec Guest | I tried the “data” method but my DVD player would not play it.
I found extracting the MPG file from the bin with isoBuster file then burning it to DVD with NeroVision Express3 worked.
My DVD player says it will play MPEG and SVCD but if I try to burn SVCD Nero ONLY wants to burn it to CD not DVD.
Any programs that will burn SVCD to DVD but not convert them to DVD format?

Markie Mark Guest | People have really got to start reading these threads. All the info is here that you need. If burning a movie, you should ideally use a DVD but check the file size before you burn. If it’s too small for a CD the use a DVD... simple. The rest of the info you need is within the thread. People spend time on these replies so you should try and use them.

Wilier Guest | OK, so Im fairly confident that I know what to do here, but I have one little question. Feel free to slap me with a Haddock if its already been answered.
I grabbed a movie, it game as 3 .rar files (cd1 cd2 and cd3) and Ive extracted each one into the same floder.
cd1 is a bin
cd’s 2 and 3 are .cue.
Will this work with the above methods or is the DL corrupt (it seems odd that cd1 only has a .bin and no .cue to go with it)
Im going to try as soon as I get home from work, but just hoped for an answer before I get too excited

daveknowsitall Guest | your all idiots
If he wants to play them on his xbox then he does NOT need to do anything other then burn them as a dvd rom on any app he likes and XBMC (xbox media centre) will play the files withiut needing to mount them or anything
XBMC also plays movie files that are in rar format

DssTrainer Guest | I too have been searching for an answer to this question, but it looks like my method is one of the best.
1. Open VCDGear and do “bin/cue -> mpeg” on both movie files.
2. Open ULead DVD Movie Factory and select DVD+VR
3. Add the 2 resulting MPG file to the project. Note that this will make 2 entries in your main menu if you select 'create menu'.
4. Create a menu (or don’t). Click next, next, next. Its nice because you can make a custom menu if you want, and use background images and sound.
5. Burn it, it will convert it to MPG-2 for normal DVD playing. The only caveot is a slight pause when it switches from the first mpg to the second mpg (about half way thru each movie since most movies come as 2 bin files originally)
This works best and easiest for me, plus I like to make the menus and stuff.

Maximus17 Guest | I used Nero to burn to a CD and in my DVD player it does play... but... it’s like it’s on warp speed or something. People are talking a million miles a minute and it doesn’t slow down (to normal). It starts out normal but in about 10 seconds it’s back to warp speed. Any ideas? I reburned using a lower write speed but same thing.

Mondo55 Guest | OK, in complete simple terms this is wat i’m dealing with :

-Each contains a .bin file.
-I mounnt the Bin wiht Daemon tools..works great, when watching it on the computer
- I know wish to burn it to a 4.7 GB DVD-R so i can play it on my DVD plater.
-i was trying to understand all the above and out of it i got “USE VCDGGEAR IS THE FIRST STEP”
-problem is i doownloaded it, opened it, in the
“load” section i selected yhe .bin....now for the last 45 minutes the status bar has sat at “searching”......wat did i do wrong?

maybedumb Guest | The trouble I’m having is, no matter what file type I seem to burn it in, it still fails to work in the home player. I’ve tried burning .iso files and .bin files, as well as .mpeg and .avi. I’m not really sure why it’s not playing. The player plays store bought DVDs fine, but the store bought DVDs have files that are .VOB which I can’t seem to find a converter for. Can Anyone Help Me out ?
