DVD Burning Problems

I bought a Mistsumi DW-7801TE
Internal DVD+RW Drive. I have downloaded some video from the internet and saved it as a Real Player File. The video plays well on my computer, but when I burned it to the RW DVD included in the Mitsumi box, it played too fast on my home DVD player attached to my TV. The sound track was off as well, but in a cryptic fashion.

I used the DVD software included with the unit and followed all the directions.

Any ideas?
