I have a mp4 player which can play amv vedio. i 've converted avi vedio to amv vedio using amv converter of mp3 player utilities 3.68. but if try to play it in my mp4 player it says format error. can any body help.

I have the same problem as boomie. The file plays for about 2 seconds and then I get File Error. I also sometimes get an error in which it won’t play at all. The file starts at the end of the video instead of the beginning and I also get a File Error. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thx

okay i feel pretty stupid asking this question!I have windows xp,and don’t know why when i download off of limewire,I can play some of the movies,but some of them I can’t?And then when ever i play them it gives me this message..“Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.Now I’ve been to www.download.com,and to the free codecs sites,but I don’t know what to download in order to play these!!I don’t have a clue if their avi,or what,but some of them will play,and all the other ones won’t,or they skip..meaning you can see the image,but when the characters are speaking their lips don’t move.It skips ahead and you can’t tell what they are saying.Any input on this problem would be very helpful!We do have dsl,160gb,and 512mb,so I would think that having a dell that’s only 3 months old would have come with some type of program that would support being able to watch movies.We can listen to music,but the movies seem like a problem.Please answer asap.Thanks...

i have downloaded movies off limewire but when i go to play them it says windows media does not support these files and i need a codec to play them the last movie i downloaded was a mpg file how can i play these movies and where do i get these codecs i am a first time user

I can watch winamp videos, but when I try to imort a clip into windows movie maker it says I don’t have the codecs need to play the file. what’s going on?? >__<;;
