ffdshow audio decoder AAC+ not seekable in Windown Media Player

Hello.
I am having problems playing AAC+ in windows media player with ffdshow audio decoder.
If I open the file directly, it will play and will be seekable, but if I click on it in the media library it will play but will not be seekable.
Any idea on how I could overcome this?

Convert it to other popular extend format such as mp4 or mp3 use xilisoft aduio converter and may be it would be OK

Yes, but that would mean I would have to recompress it, and that would mean I would lose audio quality

yup,any compression is lossy.
But a little loss on quality cannot be felt by our ears.
Of cause, a nice converter will be necessary.
such as wondershare video converter, aimersoft, cucusoft etc.
