cant open file and play with wmp10 gives me c00d1199error checked gspot comes up with non avi and n.a in video&audio codec boxs could anybody shed some light on this cheers

You should at least tell us what the extension of the file is. We can rule out real media, avi, mpeg, quicktime, and ogm, since gspot can identify all those. What’s left is mp4, and matroska, the latter of which videotoolbox can detect. Or it’s not a video file! Maybe it’s an archive (zip, rar) or a cd image (iso, img, bin). Just give us the file extension.
