tomlad Guest | hey everyone, been reading thru this mental topic and its given me alot of help, except for one thing, ive downloaded a torrent of Final Fantasy VII (7 for all of you not familiar with roman numerals lol) and ive extracted the files to find a .ccd, .img and a .sub file. i downloaded about a million cd tools and eventually used about 10discs and i got it working after seeing this topic and downloaded clone cd, and it worked perfectly by selecting the .ccd file and the rest was done by the program. but the game is american and plays in black and white, ive tried 3 different leads for it (standard av, ps1 scart and ps2 av/scart lead) and still....black and white, cant get it to work in colour, ive read about patching on other sites and its all foriegn to me so im a bit lost, it would be great if anyone could help me work out why its doing this and is there a way around it? nice one

zefen Guest | hey I need help. I am totally clueless and I do not know what to do. I am trying to play a game and I downloaded it in 4 parts.all 4 of them are the same size name and same date it was modified. They are a .ccd, .img, and a .sub. wat do I do. Do I reaplace them or do I put them in different places? and do I have to make it into a cd or it can work without putting the image into a cd?

ABD Guest | Hey its no problem at all. Just go to daemon tools, mount the .ccd file and its easy as pie. Just use any cdburning software to copy the virtual drive.

vampira Guest | TO INSTALL A GAME:
download and install daemon tools first. put your .ccd, .sub, .cue amd .img files all in one folder on the desktop. run daemon tools (it will not show up as a program box but rather a small icon in your lower right hand corner system tray) right click on the icon and scroll over Virtual CD/DVD Rom then scroll over Device O: No Media in the window that pops up then left click Mount Image in the next window that pops up. this will open a window that says select new image file on top. in this window find the folder you created on the desktop and open it. you should see the .cue files come up in the list. double click on the first file, it should have a 1 after the game name if there are multiple CDs (this will mount the image and fool your computer into thinking you have inserted the CD for the game) the game install should begin. if the game asks you to insert more CD’s during the install just follow those same steps again to mount the next .cue file (they should be numbered 1, 2, 3... etc.) if the game asks you for a CD key during the install download a keygen off of google. if the game came with (or you can find) a no CD crack then you will not need to do these next steps, but if it does not EVERY time you want to play the game you must run daemon tools and mount the first .cue file and the game will then run so DO NOT delete this! you will need to save all the .ccd, .img, .cue and .sub files for CD one in order for this to work, just keep them in a folder somewhere. if you do this there is no real reason to burn the game onto a CD, but if you do want to just burn all the .cue, .sub, .img and .ccd files on a data disk, i recommend Nero.
I hope this helps and that I didnt screw anything up when i wrote this, if something doesnt work email me - its been a while since ive done this so please dont be harsh if i messed something up!

vampira Guest | oops im sorry i did make a mistake in the last post. both the .cue and .ccd files will show up on the list when you are trying to mount the image but you actually need to mount the .CCD ... just realized Im installing the sims 2 right now =)

parthi Guest | hi,
thanks for the reply,
i thought no one will reply
hey, i downloaded bushido blade psx rom from “www.emuparadise.org” .this contains 6 rar files.
i un compressed the files so that i have 1 .ccd, 1 .sub,1 .img,1.cue file.
then i installed daemon tools and mounted the .ccd image and i run the epsxe to play by changing the cd drive letter by virtual drive letter so that i can play the game by running through the virtual drive

parthi Guest | sorry..............
when i tried to play the game by method i told in the last message a popup window appears telling that “SEND ERROR REPORT " or “DONT SEND”.
and when i mounted the .ccd image file in virtual drive there is no setup.exe.
thanks for the reply again.

vampira Guest | i believe your problem is that you are not trying to install a computer game, rather a ROM. ROMS require an emulator of the system the game is meant to be played on.
http://www.zophar.net/psx.html
try that website, i believe it has the emulator that you need (the second one down on the list “AdriPSX ILE” should do it)
as for how to actually run the game, im really not sure - I dont use ROMs myself.
if you want to be able to install the game onto your computer using the method i described above, you can download an .iso version of the game. they work the same as .ccd files (you mount them in daemon tools)
hope this helps! | |
