Use cloncd or daemon tools, or convert the files to ISO with some iso convertion software

So with ISO buster, I wouldn’t need a CD to play the game, right?

I am also really green with this. I downloaded a game in two parts one about 600mb the other about 300mb. Each part contains .ccd, .cue, .img, and .sub files. But I don’t know what to do with them? I have nero suite (that came with my DVD burner) and would like to create the game onto two cds or one dvd. But with out an iso file or exe file, I am lost. How are these things created and what should I do with them. Step by step process would help greatly.
Thank you
Bri

Use Nero burn as image, window opens default file type will be “All Nero Compilations” change this from dropdown to one of those you have mentioned “cue”, locate and choose your game, movie whatever burn thats it.

well friend concerning the ccd, u can use CDmage the cdd is file that describes or if you wanna say; is being the setup for the image file (img) it reads the structure of the image giving you the possibility to extract files from it or update it using the abouve soft.
for the sub files i’m still still searching for their raison-d’etre .

personally...I’d try out using Nero first, then goto others that can make an image file from a cd to find the correct program that MADE those files...does anything in the name or file tell you WHAT was used there to make it?

ok guys her’s the whole scene;
ccd and sub and the other img files are nothing but a clone for an original cd, to deal with em just go and have a click on http://www.slysoft.com/download/SetupCloneCD.exe this is the soft that makes burning a clone cd easy as taking a kandel from a baby.
have fun.

PS: 100% ok

CCD is the data information for the image file, in CloneCD format. It’s kind of like a proprietary version of a CUE file in a CUE/BIN set. The IMG is the actual data, kind of like the BIN file in a CUE/BIN set. The SUB file is a copy of the subdata track; in an audio CD this is usually used for timing data, so when you fast forward your CD player knows where it is in the song. A lot of game companies screw around with this data, and use it for their copy protection; if the program doesn’t get the subdata codes its looking for, it knows you’re not using the original CD.

Woah! Ok, I am confused now, I have a game I downloaded and it included .sub files that are each 3.0MB+ HOW DO I extract these into the game? What software program do I have to use in order to get all that info into the game, I have tried with CloneCD didn’t work, although I am not that familiar with the software, maybe I did it wrong, and I tried ISOBuster - but it says The Primary Volume Descriptor (PVD) is unreadable - so what can I use now?

Looks a lot like your image is corrupted (meaning that you cannot use it, the data is broken etc..).
It might also be a fake program provided by the publisher etc.
So in one word, you cannot use that cd image if it is one of i described. Only you can do is download it again or download some another release.

Crazy Kid, I think I understand what you’re saying, but there’s 3 files, how can you use magic ISO to convert 3 files into .iso?? Or the only file you need is the img file?

it is like bin and cue,
Bin is the most importnant, but it needs cue to work. Same way it is with img, ccd, sub file. Img is the most importnant, but it needs ccd and sub to work!

any time you see ccd that mean its was made by cloneCD, the company nolonger makes this program (afaik) but you can find it all over the place like kazza and bear, and what ever else you use to DL.
