sorry but not to be rude, but can you read or not? becuase the answer you could have read easily before posting is on about the last 2-3 pages.

you should never convert from kvcd to dvd as thats not the point of the process.

people such as myself encod to kvcd for a reason and thats to burn and wtahc on 1 cd only and not for peole to extract the mpeg file to then convet o dvd .

get a cd around 700mb in size (even if the bin/cue file are around 797mb) and burn as cd image in nero or any image burner.

if how ever you are amongst the unfortunate that your player will not play kvcd’s.

then your answer again is withing the first 2-3 pages

Cheers guys... Now figured out how to convert a split kvcd to 1 dvd. No loss in quality. (well only a little :P) VCDGear is a cracking little program.

Thanks again.

a split kvcd?

do tell me who did the encode, or what the torrent file was titled as kvcd should be only 1 cd only NOT 2 cd’s as 2cd’s simply defeats the main object of the reason behind kvcd

How to burn cue/bin for KVCD
To burn to disc using Nero just right click on the cue file which will be the smallest of the 2
then choose Open With and browse to your Nero.exe (possibly just called Nero) file. (Located in Program Files / Ahead / Nero folder) Ensure the *Always use the selected program to open this type of file* box is ticked, this way next time all you have to do is double click the cue file and the burning interface will open, now choose which speed you would like to burn your disc at. It’s recommended to burn at no more than 8x, if you burn at a faster speed this may impair the quality and make the video pixelated..

or alterantively, go to nero’s express which will then ask via other options if you would like to burn image..thats what you want.

burned vcds will play on some dvd players that dont play burned dvds. Did that 4 my sis. As dragon says, its not that complicated to do it. I double click on the smaller file of the 2, nero takes me right to where i need to be, and i just have to hit burn!!! Done in 2 minutes. Its a bloomin miracle!!! Check it out, if you are havin trouble with nero, like i was, i just re-downloaded/installed it. Some of my files were corrupt! Now it works like a dream.ttfn

VCDGear works perfectly fine.
Just open the ******.DAT & ******.BIN files for the movie you want to convert.
Choose where to save it and click on convert.

As Simple As That!!!

suzie, not to be disrespectful here PLEASE READ THE LAST 4 PAGES..

as that basically gives you what kvcd is , hoe to burn, what to use and etc etc.

and just in case you miss something thats so importnat within your question,

KVCD’S ARE NOT MEANT FOR DVD’S ... THEY DO NOT BURN TO DVD... THEY BURN TO CD.... THE ENCODER DOES THE KVCD FOR 1 CD ONLY AND NOT FOR THE KVCD TO BE RE-ENCODED TO DVD WHICH LOOSES A LOT OF QUALITY TAN WHAT ITS ENTIONS ARE

Kvcd is mpeg-1 variant .... it has bugger all to do with the contanier avi format.

dorry just 1 second susie someone seems to be completely fucking blind of the last 20k pages of helpful tips and tricks which could very bloody easily answer if they just READ THE PAGES...espcially the last 4 .

sorry about that Rinosh bud but you had that coming as Nobody if they actual take the time to read the damn topic pages they would know basically the answer.

right.

kvcd.

get hood of VCDGEAR

get hod of your kvcd which would consit of 1 bin and 1 cue file .

go to vcdgear.... or in fact go to www.vcdgear.com i believe and that shows toy how to extract the video from the image files....... that is of course if you dont wish to view the encoders hard work and want to fuck it up by encoding to dvd.... in which case why the fcuk not just download the damned xvid/avi format which is likllt the sam etorrent or ftp area you gained the kvcd from.

if you have nero or any image burning software simply put in your CD

NOT DVD

CD

and select the burn umage, then select image and burn .... in nero either in startsmart choose the cd sectionb then burn image . and if not it will be via start>programes>nero>data then choose burn image... and if you have nero 7 you chose burn image to cd.

ots that damn vloody simple.

and playing a kvcd ( you will be watching th BIN file as thats the image with the info), kvcd;s on pc’s are best viewed with VLC PLAyER

the nfo is a writen file by the group or encoder giveing you information about the group and the release. if you dont have NFO viewer installed, you sumply go to wordpad and open the file via that way.

Lots of complaints here about lack of clarity in the posted responses. I found what I was looking for, and decided to try and summarize my experience as clearly and concisely as possible.

INTRO
I found my way as a result of searching for a way to convert kvcd .bin and .cue files into a single .mpg file for viewing on my computer. I downloaded 'departed', but was not interested in burning it onto a cd or watching it on my TV. I tried opening the .bin file in VLC media player, and that nifty little program did an admirable job of trying to render it; but the audio was still choppy and unsatisfactory for viewing.

GOAL
Convert kvcd .bin and .cue files into .mpg format for painless PC viewing.

SOLUTION
1. [url=http://www.vcdgear.com/download.html]Download VCDgear[/url] (this tutorial assumes that you downloaded v3.56, since that what I grabbed)
2. Extract the contents of the .zip file, using [url=http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm]winRaR[/url]. NOTE: be sure to check the location winRaR extracts the executable file to!
3. Open vcdgear.exe
4. Find the box labeled Extraction/Conversion, and select cue/bin -> mpeg
5. Check the box fix mpeg errors
6. Find and click the load button.
7. Navigate to the directory containing your kvcd files, and select the .cue file and click OK.
8. Another navigation box will pop up, asking you to specify a name for the .mpg file you are about to create. Navigate to the directory you want your output .mpg file to be created in, and choose a name, then click SAVE.
9. At this point, in my case at least, a warning window pops up which says “Binary image file specified inside CUE file could not be opened”. Do not panic! This is not the end of the world.
10. Just click the OK button in the warning message window and another navigation window will pop up. Find and select the .bin file that corresponds to the .cue file you selected earlier, and then click OK.
11. You are now ready to create your .mpg file. Simply click the start button in the lower left-hand corner of the main VCDgear window and, in less than 5 min. you will have a brand new piping hot .mpg ready for playback in the media player of your choice.

Running this process eliminated all the choppiness and undesirable aspects of the kvcd, and in my opinion it looks great in this format on my computer screen.

Hope this was crystal clear, and has been helpful to all those out there. I tried not to assume anything about computer literacy, and also tried use clear, concise sentences and proper spelling.

p.s. The vitriolic repartee between 'kreepie' and 'DRAGON25' was absolutely hilarious. I laughed my ass off, to wit:
kreepie: “DIDNT i say that if you werent gonna answer the FUCKING QUESTION DONT FUCKING REPLY YOU FUCKWIT”
DRAGON25: “SO FUCK OFF, GO SUCK YOUR MAMMAS PUPPY EARS AND TRY TO ACT LIKE YOUR NOT 11”
kreepie: “ifll say it again you numbnutted trollop..."
"...i give you all the credit in the world as for not biting the hand that helps me out BITCH i DONT need YOUR help silly autistic baboon
now go play with your stamp collection and while your at it stick one on your ass and send yourself to po box imafuckhead at some isolated village in the amazon or email yourself at
www.getalife/yousillyretard.dickhead.yahoo.com
knowing you , youfd probably check if itfs a real address WANKER”

Absolutely awesome postage.

Ok. I have a question: why don’t the suggested url tags work properly on this message board? Sorry about screwing that up guys - but it would be nice if there was an option to preview your post...
Wonder what happens with standard html...
<a href=“http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient-ff&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGGL,GGGL:2006-11,GGGL:ja&q=kvcd+to+avi”>convert kvcd to avi</a>

simply becuase this board isnt setup to activate the propsed links my friend.

and the reason you got choppy sound is becuase you didnt have the correct audio codecs.

and that was a fucking stupid move with brining up that rather ridiculous banter between myself and the idiot that couldnt actually use the search function known as GOOGLE.

even with my advise that person was never goingto accept it, so

please if you even come by anything like that again with anyone else, its not wise to bring it up again ok

Come on, it’s FUNNY! Have a sense of humor about it, there’s not need to get agitated.
