kreepie maybe also its your rather stupid and obnoxius attitude towards other people that is actually not gaining you firect answers.

and ill say again if you had actually read the answers on the previous 2 last pages it states EVERYTHING you need to know.

so if you still wish to carry on like a silly child , then fair enough your lose.

the unfortunate nature of this situation is that just becuase you dont understand what we say EVEN WHEN IN SIMPLE TERMS doesnt mean they dont work.

so we could give you and tell you 1 million answes and links and directions, for youto still not get anywhere.

hence this is where experince comes into play and experince only becomes from a person when they TRY and PRACTICE hell thats how most of us have done all of this.

plus if your still going wrong with all the ideas then i sujest formatting the system and doing a fresh install of the os and progs as its common for the os to mess up and then beome a domino effect tpo all that aoperates on the system. Hell ive had to do this a few times in a year becuase of such a thing.

BUT my advise to you kreepie,

STOP ABSUING THE HAND THAT FEEDS YOU, you will be lucky to gain any advise in the future if you treat people like the way you are doing already.

You can use MagicISO to open the cue file, it will then ask if you want to open the track in vcd mode or something.
Choose yes by clicking OK.
It will scan the files, be patient.
Once completed, it should show you a video file.
You can then just simply rightclick on this and choose extract.
Save this somewhere on your hard drive(make sure to remember where).
You should now have a mpg file of your movie!

There is one problem which I hope someone can help with: It seems to cut off 5-10 minutes from the end.

Anyone know a way to fix this or a better method of extracting kvcd files?

just rename the *****.dat file to *****.avi and then use something like DivxToDVD

Burn

Problem solved

Why go into all the trouble others are saying.

Simple 3 step process.

rename, convert, burn.

kreepie, let me say ...you tell me to know how to spell yet you are the same....you also tell me how not to insult you...yet in all your posts you insult me left and right without any confrontation from myself.

i have given advise on the posts evenj before you come aboard but if they dont help you then so be it, but i know 98% you will simply come back and insult me further.

and to the last poster, you can not just rename the kvcd image file from the image to avi as its an image and not a valied video file, but the dvd software you mention is a great idea. good on you.

dragon25 - My Mistake,

I forgot to include 1 step. I do sometimes assume people have already extrascted their bin files and are working with the data files within. I do apolagise.

HERE ARE THE CORRECT STEP SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS

First you have to open the bin file using something line PowerISO, Alcohol120% (any image creation software will do.) You need to have the contents of the *.bin file accessible.

Once you have the bin file open and accessable, then perform the steps I outlined in my earlier post.

Sorry for the confusion.

So, the steps are,

1.) Open ********.bin with PowerISO. (Open you KVCD bin file)

2.) Navigate to the folder called “MPEGAV”

3.) Right click on file named AVSEQ01.DAT and select 'Rename'

4.) Rename 'AVSEQ01.DAT' to 'AVSEQ01.avi'

5.) Use DivxToDVD to convert 'AVSEQ01.avi' to DVD format - (If you configure the DivxToDVD software correctly you can burn to DVD automatically and have the temporary files removed!)

just so peope know. if you ever have .DAT as the result of the extracted file as per instructions above, this would tell you that you dont have enough of the correct codecs installed to support all you are about or are using.

MATIZ 05, you are so right that its scary, shame others could read the exact anser few pages back which explains what a kvcd is , why you should place on a dvd, or even burn the kvcd image to dvd, and the simple facts on what progammes and encoding tools you can also use with kvcd or even m,aking them.

dont forget like i have said before, the gys that encode the kvcd’s dont do them so they are put on dvd they do them for cd’s which are a hell of a lot cheaper , plus that means that the quantimzer within it will be totally different so you will not get dvd quality from the kvcd if put on dvd.

put hey seems there are a lot of idiots out there that even with this info will still do this
