It is freeware, works great at playing KVCD or SVCD format movies. Can play right off your hard drive. To use, after install, start it running, then click “File” on menu, then click “Open Directory”. Navigate to directory where you have the KVCD, and highlight it. (Folder will say the name of Movie directory. And the directory will have the Ext, MPEG@, Segment, and SVCD folders in it.) Click “OK”, and movie will start playing.
You can also right click on screen to get menu, and make it go fullscreen play. Great player for free! Hope this helped someone.

kvcd is a upgrade basically from CD, the kvcd encoder encos the vids file then does it to bin and cue for the burning to cd not dvd.
the Kvcd was also developed for the avaliablility of dvd quality movies to cd 1CD

Mainframe Guest | Me again. I have had a dvd burner for a month. I use 5 programs to do EVERYTHING. Here they are:
Nero 7
ConvertXtoDVD
WinAVIvideoConverter
With the above 3 programs a make DVD to KVCD
or KVCD to DVD (ONLY CUZ I WAS OUT OF CD’S)
and ISO of either.
Perfect everytime.
And then there’s:
AnyDVD
CloneDVD2
I have not found any DVD I could not copy or rip with them.

CD-RW’s work for KVCD’s but you will notice a drop in quality after the 3rd re-write.

I went to “burn image to a disc” and chose the cue file to burn.
I then went to “Image Recorder” opposed to E: drive because it wouldnt let me do it on the E drive.
Now what exactly am I doing wrong? It burns an image, but nothing to the disc, and the image, when opened, brings me to the nero burning program again, thus repeating what I just did.
What’s left to do?

i got the .bin and .cue file i try to convert them with vcdgear but i got error message “Binary image file specified inside CUE file could not be opened”. still its make the converting...so i don’t know. but after i convert the cue file i got my mpeg but when i open it the movie is freezing and i can see pic but noting moving and no audio as well
someone?? please

Manny180 Guest | There is a way to burn a kvcd to dvd
First Step:
Nero Burning Rom
To Burn using Nero right click the Cue and choose “open with”
click choose program then scroll down to Nero burning rom
choose the write speed and set it to 8x or slower
write method is disc-at-once
click burn and BAM your done!U will burn this into a CDR Disc!!
Second Step:
VSO ConvertXtoDVD
Leave Disc u just completed in drive and open the disc from my computer 2 see files. Look 4 folder named MPEGAV, double click and open folder.
U will see a file named AVSEQ01.DAT. Right click file and choose (open with) ConvertXtoDVD Transcoder, make sure u put a DVD-R, DVD+R, or DVDRW
in drive and click Convert, when burn is complete u have a DVD Movie playable in all DVD Players. ConvertXtoDVD with convert and burn file to DVD Format!!!
