Hmm... this is sort of ontopic, and sort of off.

I’m kinda new to BitTorrent, before you’re able to play the movies must the entire torrent be completely downloaded?

Sorry for sounding like a moron, but might as well ask, and find out, then guess.

I think you have to download windows server 2003 sp1, i researched this problem on windows.com and it says this problem comes with default packages including x-msvideo.

If there’s anyone still having a problem with the x-msvideo problem, they might wanna try GSpot, as someone else suggested. From there, you could look up the 4cc it gives at fourcc.org, and possibly find the maker’s site or a site where a codec that could help you is being distributed. I had a problem with this, and found that the makers of the particular codec I needed, On2, provided a free decoder which allowed any media player on my computer to play such files properly.
Hope that helps.

Freaking dumbasses I reckon.
It’s dumb people like you that spread urban myths.

X-Msvideo means that when it was transferred from the digital camera, or dvd the person converted it to x-msvideo, which is the .avi container.

Freaking x-msvideo has been around for years.

Virus my bum.

As i said, download VLC MEDIA PLAYER!
IT PLAYS EVERYTHING!

WHAT THE HECK IS IT WITH PEOPLE WHO MAKE A POST ASKING FOR HELP?!?!?! WHEN THE HELP IS ALREADY PROVIDED!!! FREAKING READ THE POSTS BEFORE POSTING YOU FREAKING IDIOTS!!!
FGS
FREAKING MORONS!

Ugh ok now that is out of my system, i am going to go have a smoke

DarkHaven, stop wasting energy typing obscenities on the forum. and you call US idiots.
Secondly,VLC player hasn’t worked with Brokeback Mountain, which I’ve tried to dl. My advice would be to keep your eyes open, and visit afterdawn.com for other video help. Other than that, I agree with most of you; look for alternative files.

I AM AN IT TECHNICIAN:

you’ll need a compression/decompression algorithm(codec) to watch your video. an AVI codec can be downloaded from the internet.

goodluck
