First off I want to say when it comes to computer stuff I’m about a 3/10 (on a good day) lol. I think I can give enough information to be able to get so,e help in this matter, first the file, I always download Bleach epi’s from BleachExile.com. You can download in .avi or mp4 format. I have always downloaded the .avi format. But the last time I downloaded a file and then tried to play it on WMP,RealPlayer or CreativeMediaSource Player, all I get is an error saying I need to download codecs, then it goes on to playing the audio, but no video.
I have downloaded Divx and so many codecs for all players I try to use but still no video. I just don’t know what to do. Anyone have the patience to help out a computard?! Please lol

You must install 'FFDShow MPEG-4 Video Decoder', this will most certainly solve your problem, I had the same problem and now i’m enjoying Naruto and Bleach. Go to 'http://www.free-codecs.com/download/FFDShow.htm' and get it, let me know how it goes.

Let me suggest a more scientific approach. Download gspot or avicodec (or both), and feed the file you have into them. Usually that will give you information about the file type (container) and the codecs (audio and video) it uses. Then you can make a search on the web and download and install the corresponding codec.
