Klick Guest | Hi ppl,
I got an asf which uses non-std codec. It can only be played using a 3rd party player which expired (*sob*) some time ago.
Is there anything I can do? Like fixing it or
reencoding it so it can be a normal asf?
Opening it using Media Classic gav the error below: —
\mymovie.asf::Raw Audio 0
Stream 0
Media Type 0:

Fourcc of 0 is pretty puzzling (in the past we’ve agreed fourcc of 0 indicated fake files, but you stated being able to play it before, so we can rule that out for your file), and an audio tag of 16D is not registered on the Microsoft site.

Klick Guest | The player (and downloader) is called Shangtong Movie Manager. I’m not sure what’s the actual player that is being used for the playback...
But i remember when I first install the player... it was download some sort of codec in the background... not sure what as it was pretty fast.
sigh...
It’s quite big (176M else i would upload and let you guys check it out...
