Hi, trying to play an avi file using wmp11 but I’m missing the above codec. Can anyone please tell me where I can find it. Am happy to pay if need to.

mmes is the fourcc for the “Matrox MPEG-2 (I-frame)" codec (mmes probably stands for “Matrox MPEG-2 Elementary Stream”)
You can get it by downloading the Matrox Video for Windows (VFW) software codecs package at this page
http://www.matrox.com/video/en/support/rt2500/softwares/protected/
Here’s an alternate installer
http://www.matrox.com/video/en/support/digisuite_max/downloads/utilities/private/
That’s version 2.5 of the codec. I read somewhere there was a version 3, but I haven’t located the link for it.
