need urgent help regarding dvd burning

Hi,
i got a problem while burning my dvd. i almost tried all the way i couldn’t find the answer. anu gurus or any experienced friends please help me . this is what i tried.
1. i have some .wmv files.so i used winavi video converter . it converts my .wmv to dvd format.
2. i try to burn those files into dvd using my dvd burning software roxio cd and dvd creator-> dvd builder. but when i add .vob files it says it cannot accept this file becaue it has ac3 audio.
3. so i try to burn that files as data files with same roxio->classic dvd option.
4. then i played that dvd in my player . i can see the video . but i can’t hear any audio.
5. i tried that dvd in my system it works fine.

why? can anybody tell the solution for this probelm
