Hello,
I do video editing with Pinnacle Studio. I have been fighting a strange problem. The problem is that on disks or on disk content (vob files), the sound is too low at the start and gradually declines through the course of the video (but the decline is not linear).

The problem only manifests itself on projects that utilize video files that have been captured on my computer. That is, if I use video that has been captured elsewhere, the sound seems OK. Also, if I render the project as an mpg or avi file (rather then a disk or disk content), the sound is also OK.

I have been suspecting a driver or codec problem and do not know very much about these. I have looked at GSpot, and can not see a problem there, but I am not sure I would knwo one if I saw it.

Has anybody had a similar issue or have any ideas as to how I might go about solving this?

Thanks!
