The DVD I ripped it from is one that I recorded myself via a DVD player/recorder in order to make a copy of a VHS.
The VOB is fine, not a thing wrong with it that I’m aware of. The problem is, the video is completely mangled after I encode it to AVI. It turns into a bright, pixelated mess. The audio, however, remains intact.
I’ve ripped the VOB with various programs thinking that might have something to do with it, but it didn’t make a bit of difference. The only program I know to use for the actual converting is Auto GK. Is there perhaps something else that I might try? I’m clueless as to what’s causing this.
