Burning dvdrip files

i recently got nero 7 and the first movie i burned was an older movie and worked fine, but when burning dvdrip files such as fxm or aXXo. The file begins the burn process and 3/4 of the way done a project failed pops up with no explanation??? anyone with any uggestions would be appreciated
